Veterinary antibiotics can be summed up in two sentences:

One is that veterinary antibiotics has contributed more than a lot. The emergence and use of antibiotics is a miracle in the history of human medicine, it make an indelible contribution to human health. The effect of antibacterials on the prevention and control of animal diseases is equally important, especially the control of zoonosis to a certain extent reduces the probability of human infection of bacterial diseases. Many pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli O157, paratyphoid salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.Not only will it infect animals, it will also infect people through the food chain. If antibiotics are not used, not only will the animals die, but more importantly, more and more pathogens will be released in the environment, which will seriously threaten human health. Therefore, the use of antibiotics in the aquaculture industry has cut off the spread of these zoonosis from the “source of infection”, greatly reducing the probability of human zoonosis and ensuring food safety and human health on the deeper level.

Second is to use it standardize. As the saying goes that every medicine has bad effects, all drugs have double effects. Similarly, veterinary medicine is a “double-edged sword”. Rational use of veterinary drugs can prevent and control animal diseases and promote the healthy development of the breeding industry. However, non-standard use of veterinary drugs will cause the group harm of livestock and poultry, resulting in excessive veterinary drug residues, bacterial resistance and quality and safety of livestock products.
